Ingredients

Grape jelly BBQ meatball mixture
  • 2 lb frozen fully cooked meatballs Use frozen fully cooked meatballs; no thawing needed.
  • 18 oz BBQ sauce 1 jar.
  • 1 cup grape jelly Adds sweetness and a glossy finish.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Provides savory depth.
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder Seasoning for the sauce base.
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish Fresh, for serving.

Equipment

  • 1 slow cooker

Method

Make the sauce and cook
  1. Whisk BBQ sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder in a slow cooker until smooth and combined.
  2. Add frozen fully cooked meatballs to the slow cooker and stir until evenly coated with the sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 3-4 hours, or HIGH 2 hours, until meatballs are heated through; stir once halfway for even glazing.
  4. Stir until the sauce is glossy and the meatballs are heated through, then keep on WARM until ready to serve.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot with toothpicks.

Notes

Pro tip: stir once halfway so every meatball gets coated and the sauce turns glossy instead of pooling. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; reheat in a skillet or microwave until hot. Freezing is not ideal because the sauce can change texture, but you can freeze if needed—thaw in the fridge and reheat gently. For a lower-sugar option, use sugar-free grape jelly and a reduced-sugar BBQ sauce.
